Data have been collected from 98 students joining the four international service-learning projects to measure their changes after completing the projects. As shown in Figure 1, the students’ post-service learning mean scores were significantly higher that their pre-service learning mean cores for the key competencies of interpersonal effectiveness, problem solving and social responsibility.
The results of overall evaluation revealed that the item “I believe that I have a responsibility to serve the community” topped the list and was strongly agreed to 55.1% of the respondents. “I treasured the learning experience throughout the Service Project” came second, with 54.1% of the students strongly agreeing. “I will continue my involvement in community service” and “I will participate in Service Learning activities in the future” came third, rated “strongly agree” by 48%.
