A computer-aided detection (CAD) scheme for early detection of ischemic stroke with small lesions using image feature characteristics for Computed Tomography (CT) images

This is a computer-aided detection (CAD) scheme for early detection of ischemic stroke with small lesions using image feature characteristics. It can be served as an alert system for detection of abnormality that may easily be overlooked by clinicians or a tool to improve the accuracy of diseases detection. Our system is used in conjunction with Computed Tomography (CT) for the evaluation of patients with suspected acute ischemic stroke. Since an accurate and efficient diagnosis is critical for a patient to survive, our system is highly desirable for front-line health care worker.
