Vision and Action Technology Company Limited

Vision and Action Technology Co Ltd (VAT) is a startup led by PolyU academics including professor and alumni, as well as optical trade experts. Based on the DISC technology developed by PolyU, VAT strives to develop and commercialise lenses that control myopia progression from lens design, manufacturing system setup, and product quality control, to lens coatings R&D, exploration of distribution channels, clinical study, regulatory affairs, and sales and marketing of the product all over Asia. VAT also worked with Prof. Benny Cheung of PolyU to develop a new spectacle lens called MyoDISC using DISC technology and newly patented nano-structured technology and it was launched in 2023. Another product known as DISC-RGP is in the pipeline with an expected launch date in 2025 or 2026. DISC-RGP is similar to Ortho-K lens and is manufactured with hard lens material.
