HongKong Gallium Carbon Technology Co., Limited
The decomposition of carbon dioxide (CO₂) in gallium-based liquid alloys is a state-of-the-art carbon sequestration technology, which can simultaneously convert carbon dioxide into high-value-added products to optimise the carbon cycle. The strategy of directly decomposing and utilising carbon dioxide under mild conditions by harnessing the unique properties of liquid gallium-based alloys. It is converted into carbon, and the reaction in turn generates gallium oxide (Ga ₂O₃), indium oxide (In₂O₃), etc. Its by-products can also be recycled and reused. This method, bringing into action technologies such as liquid eutectic metal synthesis, carbon dioxide fixation, and oxide reduction, provides a new and effective way for the decomposition and renewable recycling of carbon. Due to the harsh conditions of other carbon dioxide conversion technologies, this project enjoys a competitive edge in market development.
