Marco SHEK

Marco is the Asia Lead - Partnerships, Capacity Building and Development at Social Innovation Exchange (SIX) - a prestigious international body for social innovation. He leads SIX’s Asia work on people and organisation's innovation skills and capacities in social innovation, concurrently, partnering with diverse partners in sense-making the Asia’s SI narrative.

Marco is an interdisciplinary talent who has rich experiences in social services sector working with young people and innovation sector prompting social innovation both locally, regionally and internationally. Marco led the communication and network coordination work for several European Commission social innovation projects, i.e. Social Innovation Community (SIC), SIKE, SCALINGS, etc. Asia-wise, he partnered with 5% Design Action to promote cross-city participatory social design. Prior to that, he was the main driver of Good Seed - a local social innovation and entrepreneur development programme under SIE Fund.

Marco is also the Programme Director at Ednovators (www.ednovators.org) to catalyse education innovation in Hong Kong. He is also serving on the board of Beyond Vision International (BVI, www.beyondvisoin.org) in promoting worldwide accessible and inclusive art and culture for the visually-impaired.
