The competition, organized by the Chartered Institution of Logistics and Transportation (CILTHK), aimed to provide a competitive arena for stimulating thinking and sharing instructive knowledge among the participants as well as the observers. Each participated team was provided a logistics and/or transport related topic by drawing lots on the event day. After preparation, students were required to give a 10-minutes presentation to demonstrate their understanding, knowledge, argument, analytical skill, logical thinking as well as communication capability.

In the competition, the team was given a logistics-related topic "Assess the impacts of free shipping for logistics industry". Wenshan LIANG, the team leader mentioned that the competition is an invaluable experience for students. “It’s been a great honor to win the prize in the CILTHK Student Day 2018. This competition is very meaningful as it deeply discussed the development of the logistics industry in Hong Kong and how it will be affected in the future. Our team has learned a lot from the competition. Our team would like to express our deep appreciation to all staff who held the event and our professor Dr KL Choy for providing full support to our team.”
