~ Students are required to take the indicated subjects among the pool of Faculty Electives in Year 1.

^ (i) Students without a background of Level 2 or above in HKDSE Physics (or Combined Science with a component in Physics), or the equivalent qualifications; or
(ii) Non-local students from the Chinese Mainland who do not have a Pass (a pass is taken as 60% of the total marks of the subject) in the Physics or Integrated Science subject in Joint Entrance Examination for universities
may consider to take the subject AP10001 Introduction to Physics as one of the Free Electives.
Students with the above Physics background can take free electives offered by ISE or other departments.
