Technical Visit to CLP Low Carbon Energy Education Centre

2025-07-26 Technical Visit to CLP Low Carbon Energy Education Centre

The CLP Low Carbon Energy Education Centre is Hong Kong’s first education centre dedicated to promoting public understanding of low carbon energy. Sponsored by CLP and located at the City University of Hong Kong, the centre aims to educate visitors about the importance of low carbon energy in addressing climate change.

The centre features 5 themed zones:

  1. Climate Change and Fuel Choice
  2. Renewable Energy
  3. Natural Gas
  4. Nuclear Power
  5. Powering the Future

It uses multimedia and interactive displays, including a 3D immersive system that lets visitors experience the inside of a nuclear reactor. The centre is designed to be both inspiring and educational, helping the public understand the role of different energy sources and the need for a diversified, low-carbon fuel mix to combat climate change.
