All RPg students, including transfer-in PhD students, are required to complete the Coursework/Credit Requirements before thesis submission according to the following:
- For RPg students from the 2024/25 cohort
- For RPg students from the 2022/23 cohort
- For RPg students of the 2021/22 cohort
- For RPg students admitted after 30 June 2014 and before the 2021/22 cohort
Important notes applicable to all RPg students:
- An MPhil student must complete at least 3 credits with a letter grade and a PhD student must complete at least 6 credits to allow for a meaningful calculation of the qualifying GPA.
- Programme-specific coursework requirements may differ from PolyU’s requirements. RPg students should check with their host Department/School for their respective programme requirements.
- Subjects are chosen by the RPg students, with advice from the Chief Supervisor.
- Subject to the approval of the Chief Supervisor, RPg students may enrol in subjects offered by other universities in Hong Kong. They will not be charged any fees in addition to the fees they paid at PolyU.
