The Graduate School (GS) compiles this Research Postgraduate (RPg) Student Handbook which contains all essential information concerning general academic matters, general regulations and procedures, services, facilities, and various communication channels for RPg students.

All RPg students must comply with the regulations for the RPg Programmes offered by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) as stipulated in this RPg Student Handbook. At any time, PolyU reserves the right to change the regulations and the related administrative procedures without prior notice as a result of new policies. For Collaborative PhD Training and Dual PhD Degree Programmes, PolyU will consult the partner institutions to ensure the changes will not affect these students’ studies/training at the partner institutions.

Students admitted in Collaborative PhD Training and Dual PhD Degree Programmes should also read through Appendix 1 attached to this RPg Student Handbook.

The regulations and procedures for the full-time PhD programmes/students are in general applicable to the Collaborative PhD Training programmes/students and the Dual PhD Degree programmes/students, unless otherwise specified in this handbook.
