Research students are required to pay the tuition fee in two instalments (according to the above payment schedules). They will be charged a continuation fee when their normal period of study expires.

Notes:
- HK$84,200 for Non-UGC-funded students who receive no stipend and no external funding support but some funding from department.
- HK$42,100 for Non-UGC-funded students who receive no stipend and no external funding support but some funding from department.
- Starting from the 2018/19 academic year, the Government provides tuition waiver for all local students enrolled in UGC-funded research postgraduate programmes during the normal study period.
