Tuition Fees for the 2020/21 Academic Year

Tuition fee payment schedule for research students admitted in or before the 2017/18 cohort

Research students are required to pay the tuition fee in two instalments (according to the above payment schedules). They will be charged a continuation fee when their normal period of study expires.

Full-time study mode 42,100 per annum (see Notes 1 & 3)
Part-time study mode 21,050 per annum (see Note 2)
Continuation fee (after expiry of the normal study period) 10,525/6 months (for students admitted in or before the 2016/17 cohort)
OR
7,017 per semester/term (for students admitted from the 2017/18 cohort onwards)

Notes:

  1. HK$84,200 for Non-UGC-funded students who receive no stipend and no external funding support but some funding from department.
  2. HK$42,100 for Non-UGC-funded students who receive no stipend and no external funding support but some funding from department.
  3. Starting from the 2018/19 academic year, the Government provides tuition waiver for all local students enrolled in UGC-funded research postgraduate programmes during the normal study period.

Gown hiring fee To hire the academic gown for attending the Congregation, graduates need to pay a gown hiring fee to a vendor.  Please visit the AR website for more details.
Graduation fee for programmes leading to PolyU Awards (normally converted from caution money)
