We are thrilled to announce that PolyU has joined forces with the Yan Chai Hospital Board (Yan Chai) to cultivate allied healthcare professionals. This partnership will provide valuable placement opportunities for our new Master of Science in Degree Programme in Dietetics.
As Hong Kong’s population ages, the demand for nutritional professionals is steadily increasing. Starting in the 2025/26 academic year, our department will offer a Master of Science in Dietetics programme, training the next generation of dietitians to work across various sectors, including healthcare, the food industry, and public health.
Today, we celebrated the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Yan Chai, paving the way for placements at their affiliated social service units. This collaboration marks a significant milestone, as it introduces the first dietetics placements in nursing homes and care facilities in Hong Kong, setting a new benchmark for local dietetics education.
