Dr Kenneth Lo, Assistant Professor at the Department of Food Science and Nutrition, has been interviewed by RTHK on the TV programme “Hong Kong United” ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifGuIKk6tgg ). During the interview, Dr Lo has introduced the community nutrition project organized by students from the Service-Learning programme in Nutrition and Healthy Diet. In this project, students have planned multiple interactive activities, including cooking workshop, drama, health assessment station and booth games, so that they can apply and practice the learned nutritional knowledge and skills in serving the community. That echoes the main goals of the Service-Learning programme, in which students can apply their skills and knowledge to deal with complex issues in social service, to develop a stronger empathy for people in need and a stronger sense of civic responsibility.
