20 years helping Hong Kong Kids Ditch Inter-generational Poverty

The ELC has been ‘safeguarding’ English language programmes provided by the Sprouts Foundation since 2005.
Some key statistics about the Sprouts Foundation programmes:
35 – full-time and part-time staff.
5 – operating in primary and secondary school classes with both in regular day classes and after school.
1000-1500 – students benefit every week.
400 – Sprouts Foundation teacher observations conducted by ELC teachers on a voluntary basis.
HK$0.00 – the cost to all the kids that take part.
18000 – kids in residential care/low-income families successfully reached tertiary education.
That’s 18000 ‘adults’ who have studied a subject that can lead to a more fulfilling life.
That’s 18000 ‘adults’ who have gained reliable and secure employment to support themselves.
That’s 18000 ‘adults’ who have fought back against inter-generational poverty for future generations.
