Congratulations to Dr Amber Chiou and Dr Cesar Wong of the Department of Applied Biology and Chemical Technology on receiving the President’s Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Services 2022!
Dr Chiou and Dr Wong have set up the PolyU Diagnostic Laboratory (PU-MDL), which became one of the HKSAR Government recognized local COVID-19 testing institutions. The lab has provided COVID-19 testing service to the PolyU community, Tokyo 2020 Olympics athletes and the Hong Kong Sports Institute staff amid the pandemic.
