The entry requirements are the University’s General Minimum Entry Requirements for Bachelor’s degree programmes, as specified below:
1. For those applying on the basis of HKDSE results:
Level 3 in English Language and Chinese Language Level
Level 2 in Mathematics, Liberal Studies
Level 3 in one elective subject (Preference will be given to: a single physics subject/combined science with physics component)

2. For those applying on the basis of other local qualifications:
An Associate Degree in Applied Science or Engineering, or a Higher Diploma in Applied Physics, Applied Optics, Optical Technology or Engineering in relevant areas.
