We are pleased to share that Prof. YANG Xingyi, Assistant Professor of the Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI), has been featured on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2026 list under the “Healthcare & Science” category.

The Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list recognises young innovators and leaders across the region for their achievements and impact in their respective fields. Candidates are selected from thousands of online submissions and recommendations from industry sources and list alumni, and are evaluated by the Forbes Asia team and a panel of independent expert judges based on criteria such as social and industry impact, inventiveness, and future potential.

Prof. YANG’s research focuses on generative AI models, world models, and spatial intelligence. His work aims to build efficient and controllable AI systems that can generate visual content, understand 3D space, and reason about dynamic real-world environments. His work has received more than 5,000 citations to date, including over 1,000 citations for his 2020 paper on using AI to diagnose COVID-19. His inclusion on the list is a notable recognition of his contributions to research and innovation at the intersection of data science, artificial intelligence, and healthcare/science.
