Governance Structure

Governance Structure for Digital Transformation Initiatives and Projects

To advance PolyU’s commitment to the E4.0 vision, the following governance structure has been formally approved by the University. The DTD operates within a robust three-tier governance framework designed to ensure transparency, accountability, and strategic alignment.

governance

  • PEC serves as DTC’s Steering Committee and provides top-level leadership for digital transformation and AI integration, ensuring initiatives are prioritised, aligned and governed to advance the University’s mission
  • DTC oversees and drives digital transformation initiatives and governance and build the University’s digital capacity and foundation
  • DTD is responsible for the management of DTC and in charge of managing, implementing and delivering approved digital transformation initiatives
  • ITS owns the technical architecture, security and delivery methods and works closely with DTD to provide solution architects and engineers to ensure long-term operability and support
  • Business Units (BU) act as functional owners of digital transformation in their functional areas by identifying needs, specifying requirements and implementing modular tools within centralised IT standards. They bridge DT strategy and operations, ensuring local agility while adhering to corporate data and efficiency governance
