On 6-7 July, the Research Centre for Digital Economy (RCDE) under the School of Accounting and Finance successfully hosted the "Asia-Pacific Digital Economy Forum 2026 – PolyU Digital Economy Workshop".
The two-day event featured keynote speeches by Prof. Sushanta Mallick (Queen Mary University of London) and Prof. Kai Li (Tsinghua University), focusing on the newest academic development on digital economy. The workshop included rigorous academic paper presentations on macro-finance and AI, alongside an Industry–Academia Integration Session dedicated to cross-border digital business and data asset practices in the Asia-Pacific region.
The forum served as a vital platform for scholars and industry experts to exchange frontier insights on the intersection of digital economics.
