Professor Yung Kai-leung, Director of the Research Centre for Deep Space Explorations (RCDSE) was featured in the “Intelligent Manufacturing” episode of the television programme 從大灣區出發 II (Greater Bay Area Get Set Go II). The episode showcased Professor Yung and his team’s longstanding contributions to deep space exploration, including the development of key instruments for the Chang’e lunar missions and Tianwen-1 Mars mission. It also highlighted the Greater Bay Area’s strengths in advanced research, talent development, integrated industrial chains and international collaboration. Through visits to the region’s innovation frontiers, the programme explored how technological breakthroughs are translated from laboratories into real-world applications and brought to the global market.
