Recently, PolyU’s Institute of Advanced Executive Education organized a Frame Creation Methodology Workshop for senior executives to get updated with the latest methodology to be innovative. Prof. Kees Dorst, Director, Designing Out Crime Research Centre of the University of Technology in Sydney, introduced Design Thinking - a creative process based around the “building up” of ideas. Participants learnt to explore ways to create advanced transformation of practices and strategies through the application of frame creation methodology and adopt the principle of Design Thinking in their own companies.

Prof. Dorst, together with other panel speakers including PolyU Vice President (International and Executive Education) Prof. Judy Tsui, Associate Dean of PolyU’s Faculty of Business Prof. Howard Davies, and Director of Studio for Electro-Instrumental Music in Amsterdam Prof. Dick Rijken, had some fruitful discussions with participants on the application of Design Thinking to real world experience.
