Message from the Council Chairman %u6821%u8463%u6703%u4e3b%u5e2d%u7684%u8a71The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is entering an exciting new chapter, guided by our new Strategic Plan for 2025/26 to 2030/31. This plan comes at a time when our University has solidified its position as a global leader in the higher education landscape, securing the 57th position in the QS World University Rankings 2025 and boasting over 350 scholars recognised among the world%u2019s top 2% most-cited scientists for career-long and single-year citation impact in an index by Stanford University.Building upon this strong foundation, this Strategic Plan will serve as a catalyst for PolyU%u2019s continued excellence in education and research, with the aim of making even more significant contributions to society, including supporting Hong Kong%u2019s development into an international innovation and technology centre as well as an international hub for post-secondary education. The University will also continue to nurture socially responsible professionals and leaders with a strong sense of national pride and a global perspective, who will contribute to the Nation%u2019s economic and scientific advancement and help solve the world%u2019s most pressing challenges.The theme of the Strategic Plan, %u201cUnite to Meet Challenges, Innovate to Benefit Society%u201d, reflects our strong belief that through the united efforts of the entire PolyU community, we can achieve innovative breakthroughs and accomplishments that will benefit society.On behalf of the PolyU Council, I want to express our heartfelt appreciation to everyone involved in crafting this visionary Strategic Plan.
