BEng (Hons) Scheme in Civil Engineering and Sustainable Development
BEng (Hons) Scheme in Civil Engineering and Sustainable Development is designed to provide students with a high-quality interdisciplinary education in areas of environmental, geotechnical, hydraulic, structural and transportation engineering as well as construction management. Students will study the common curriculum for the first year and select their major study at the end of second semester of Year 1 according to their interests and strengths.

Notes:
There is no compulsory subject requirement. The admission score will be calculated based on “Any Best 5 Subjects” mechanism (after subject weightings have been applied). For more details, please visit the website of Academic Registry.
Applicants who have not taken the preferred subjects will still be considered for admission but they may need to take relevant underpinning subjects in order to gain the foundation knowledge.
Professional Recognition
The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) is the only statutory professional engineering body in Hong Kong. Graduates are expected to be qualified for Corporate Membership of HKIE after appropriate trainings and are eligible to join Scheme A training of HKIE in respective disciplines.
