At the age of 16, Mr Manix Wong Ping-tao aspired to become a fashion designer. He not only realised his dream by earning a bachelor’s degree from PolyU School of Design, but also gained recognition both locally and internationally. For instance, he won the first prize in the Hong Kong qualifier contest of the Smirnoff International Fashion Awards and secured the second prize in the final held in Brazil. In 2004, he established his own brand LACLOS in Paris, which earned him the Paris Capitale de la Création award, the Premium Young Designers Award in Berlin, and the Grand Prix Créateur de Dinard in France.
