Summary
Stroke patients suffer from damaged nerves, affecting movement, sensation, vision and depth judgment, which causes difficulty in balancing and risk of falling. Physiotherapists and optometrists are dedicated to helping post-stroke patients maintain an optimal level of perception and visual functions, enhancing their self-care ability and quality of life.
This talk will briefly introduce stroke symptoms, innovative rehabilitation treatments and training, and stroke after-care. We hope to help post-stroke patients and carers seize the golden opportunity to improve self-care ability and quality of life.

Miss Jenny Kwong
Optometrist, School of Optometry
Miss Jenny Kwong graduated from the School of Optometry, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She is a registered optometrist in Hong Kong (Part I). Jenny is currently an Optometrist in the PolyU Optometry Clinic, focusing in vision rehabilitation and elderly vision services.

Ms Bonnie Ma
Clinical Associate (Physiotherapy), Department of Rehabilitation Sciences
Ms Bonnie Ma attained a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Physiotherapy from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a Master of Science in Women's Health Studies from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She also received Professional Development Diploma in Acupuncture for Physiotherapists from Hong Kong Baptist University. Bonnie has been working in various settings and positions, including research fields in universities and private physiotherapy clinics. She has also worked in non-government organizations as a community physiotherapist for years, with extensive clinical experiences in geriatric rehabilitation and community service.
