PolyU and SIX Sign MOU to Advance Tokenised Securities Research

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and SIX Group Ltd have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to foster collaboration in the investment and securities industry, with a focus on tokenised securities settlement. Signed on 25 October 2024, the agreement outlines a framework for joint research and knowledge exchange, particularly targeting Asian banks, brokers, funds, and family offices.   The partnership will explore investment flows in Asia and the infrastructure needed to support tokenised securities. It also includes plans to co-organise seminars and conferences through the OSL-PolyU Faculty of Business Research Center for Web3 and AI.   This MOU marks a significant step toward bridging Asian and European financial ecosystems, leveraging SIX’s expertise and PolyU’s academic leadership to drive innovation in digital finance.

"Business Impact and Research Opportunities of Web3 AI" Forum

The OSL–PolyU Faculty of Business Research Center for Web 3.0 AI organised a forum titled "Business Impact and Research Opportunities of Web3 AI" on 2 February 2024.   The event featured a keynote speech by Dr Alex Yang, Director and Founder of VolMart, who spoke on the topic of RWA tokenisation opportunities and case studies. This was followed by a panel discussion on "Business and Research Opportunities in Web3 and AI", with Prof. Brian Kei, Center Director, Mr Davin Wu, OSL Chief Financial Officer, and Mr Kelvin Kwok, Assistant Chief Executive Officer of China Industrial Securities International Financial Group Limited. The forum served as a knowledge exchange platform, bringing professionals together to share insights, exchange ideas, and forge connections.   More photos can be viewed here.

OSL-PolyU Faculty of Business Research Center for Web 3.0 AI Launch Event

Join force by PolyU Business School with OSL, the leading digital asset platform under BC Technology Group, a new research center was established, pooling resources and bringing together expertise from the academia and the digital asset industry to lead the development of Web 3.0 technologies and Artificial Intelligence (“Web 3.0 AI”) in Hong Kong.   The Research Center also seeks to boost students’ career prospects in the industry by offering them experiential learning of and real-world exposure to the dynamic landscape of the digital era.   Highlight of the event: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iv5p6Dx8MiU
