The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and SIX Group Ltd have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to foster collaboration in the investment and securities industry, with a focus on tokenised securities settlement. Signed on 25 October 2024, the agreement outlines a framework for joint research and knowledge exchange, particularly targeting Asian banks, brokers, funds, and family offices.
The partnership will explore investment flows in Asia and the infrastructure needed to support tokenised securities. It also includes plans to co-organise seminars and conferences through the OSL-PolyU Faculty of Business Research Center for Web3 and AI.
This MOU marks a significant step toward bridging Asian and European financial ecosystems, leveraging SIX’s expertise and PolyU’s academic leadership to drive innovation in digital finance.
