Albert Tsang is a full professor of the School of Accounting and Finance, Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Before joining PolyU, Dr. Tsang was a tenured faculty member at the Schulich School of Business, York University, Canada, and at the CUHK Business School, Chinese University of Hong Kong. He earned three Master’s degrees (M.Sc. MIS; M.Sc. Acct; M.B.A) and a Ph.D. degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2008. Dr. Tsang has a strong capital market orientated research interest on corporate social responsibility, financial and non-financial disclosure, news media, and international accounting. During the past years, he has published numerous publications in refereed journals, including The Accounting Review, Review of Accounting Studies, and Journal of International Business Studies.
Currently, Dr. Tsang is serving for the editorial board of Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of International Accounting Research, International Journal of Accounting and Journal of International Accounting, Auditing & Taxation. Dr. Tsang was nominated by the Schulich School of Business for the award of York Research Chair Since 2017. He has been invited by universities in different countries/regions (e.g., USA, Hong Kong, Canada, and China) to teach Ph.D. seminars in capital market research during the past years. Prior to joining academia, Dr. Tsang had extensive experience in accounting and finance and was working as an international accounting manager in publicly listed multinational corporations and living in multiple countries.
