ABCT Undergraduate Students' Inspiring Study Tour to Singapore and Malaysia

A group of ABCT undergraduate students, under the guidance of Prof. Xing Bengang, Prof. Yao Zhongping, Prof. Wong Tsun-Ting Clarence, Dr. Cheung Kwong-Chak Gary, and Dr. Cheung Ching Mei Chartia, embarked on a transformative study tour to Singapore and Malaysia from 27 May to 2 June 2025.

 

The objective of this study tour was to broaden the students' perspectives, expose them to cutting-edge research, and deepen their understanding of applied biology and chemical technology. Furthermore, the tour aimed to establish connections and collaborations with prestigious institutions and experts in the field, both in Singapore and Malaysia.

 

Throughout their expedition, the group visited various renowned establishments, including Wilmar International, Theranostics Center of Excellence (TCE), Helios @ Astar, A*STAR Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IMCB), Advanced Medicine Imaging Centre (AMI), School of Biomedical Sciences, School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Biotechnology at Nanyang Technological University, Xepa – Soul Pattinson Pharmaceutical Company, and Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT).

 

As the students return from this enriching experience, they bring back invaluable insights and knowledge acquired during their time in Singapore and Malaysia. These experiences are set to ignite a spark within them, propelling them toward academic excellence and inspiring them to make significant contributions to the realm of applied biology and chemical technology.

 

This study tour has undoubtedly left a lasting impact on the students, equipping them with the tools, inspiration, and connections necessary to excel in their academic endeavors and shape a promising future in the field of applied sciences.
