Education Manager, The Conservancy Association, Hong Kong
Major Work Scopes:
Overseeing environmental education development for the association, work scopes include:
- Environmental education program development, exploring & creating new program scopes and formats, covering school students, teachers, corporate staff and public audience;
- Delivering education projects and programs to respective audience
- Providing training to volunteers and educators regarding environmental message delivery
Achievements:
With more than 20 years of experiences in the education and also the environmental education sector, Terence focuses a lot on helping youths in HK to know more about the importance of green living and ecological conservation . Here are some of the achieved works in the association:
- Leading and co-ordinating different school-based environmental education projects, including: “Tree for Life” & “Waste Transformers”
- Bringing in a series of Drama-in-Education programs to a range of audience (from kindergarten to upper primary students) , as a new education format in the sector. Programs include: “Forest Adventure in the Classroom”(幼兒樹木劇場),”Party in the Paddy Field”(水田動物派對), “Forest & the Diversity I”(模樣多多的森林I), “ Forest & the Diversity II”(模樣多多的森林II), “Whose Paradise is it?”(這是誰的樂園?)”. His roles involves writer, coordinator and actor-teacher;
- As a guest TV host in Hoy TV, Hong Kong (between 2021-2022), delivering environmental education messages once/twice per week to children TV audience;
- Participating in COP27 & COP28 as a NGO-observer on behalf of the association; As the program host of a FB-live program (環保快UP), to share green thoughts on an online platform
