“Collage Again” Material Exhibition (「拼貼.再來」物料展覽 ) from 18 Oct 2018 – 1 Nov 2018

Upcycling is the latest trend of recycling and is a term used to describe the process of recreating a material or an object to give it a new life instead of throwing it away. PolyU’s School of Design will feature a special exhibition on upcycling – “Collage Again” Material Exhibition – with amazing exhibits that aim to be utilized as a model of inspiration and to raise public awareness on used plastic bag recycling. Products from the Japanese brand poRiff (specializing in repurposing Low-Density Polyethylene PE bags into tote bags, umbrellas, and phone cases) as well as works of students from the School of Design and Institute of Fashion and Clothing will be displayed to inspire ideas on re-valuing waste instead of throwing it away.
