Brief Session Food Education Association

Food Education Association, a local green non-profit organization promoting food waste reduction, will organize a briefing session to introduce its “Community Mushroom Growing” Project and activities in 2014 to secondary and primary schools.

The “Community Mushroom Growing” Project is sponsored by the Sustainable Development Fund and aims to use food waste for local cultivation of mushrooms with a view to reducing carbon emission and food waste, and disseminate the message of food waste reduction to the general public. In addition, the project also collects and promotes recycling of food waste in the catering industry, schools and elderly homes in order to arouse the awareness of food waste processing and sustainable development.
