Hong Kong Sustaintech Foundation

Hong Kong Sustaintech Foundation was founded in 2021 by several eco-conscious and tech-savvy corporations, with a mission to encourage ground-breaking researches in the context of sustainable technologies, and corporate strategies for environment, social and governance (ESG). The Foundation offers grants, sponsorships and scholarships to universities and colleges in Hong Kong, catalysing collaborations between tertiary institutes and the industries and facilitating knowledge transfer of cutting-edge sustainable technologies.

In addition to supporting university research, the Foundation is committed to promoting public awareness of sustainable technologies, and nurturing young talents in the ESG field by hosting lectures, seminars, exhibitions, workshops, and other capacity-building activities.

The Foundation believes that sustainable technologies are relevant to all enterprises, playing a crucial role in formulating sustainable solutions that address economic and societal challenges on global level. Companies at the forefront of such solutions will attract long-term investment. The Foundation attaches particular importance to the development of blockchain technology in sustainable development fields. The seamless collaborations between enterprises and researchers will result in the wide adoption of the sustainable technology concept on one hand, and sustainable development of enterprises on the other.

The Foundation also aspires to attract and unite companies and individuals who wish to foster Hong Kong’s status as a green finance centre, a hub where the best businesses, technologies, and education flourish; and a super-connector between East and West.
