year¡¦s ¡§Greening Hong Kong by PolyU Alumni¡¨ tree-planting event will
be held on 29 November (Sunday), with the aim to unite the efforts
of all PolyU alumni to contribute towards the community and the
betterment of our environment.

Library is launching a new donation programme called ¡§Honour

PolyU to hold Golf Tournament at Mission Hills on 22 January 2010
Following the success of former tournaments, the ¡§PolyU SaSa
Invitation Golf Tournament¡¨ will be held at Mission Hills Golf Club
in Dongguan, China on 22 January 2010 (Friday). As the first one
hosted by our President, Prof. Timothy W. Tong, this tournament will
be a ¡¥Day of Fun¡¦ to all participants, especially alumni, as
¡¥Alumni¡¦ Cup is newly introduced as individual award. Other awards
include ¡¥Trade Association¡¦ and ¡¥Company¡¦ team cups. You are

PolyU to join Walk for Millions on 10 January 2010
PolyU will once again participate in the Walk for Millions to be
organized by The Hong Kong Community Chest on 10 January 2010
(Sunday). All PolyU alumni and their family members / friends are
welcome to join this university-wide charitable activity. Details of
the Walk will be available at PolyU¡¦s alumni affairs website soon.

participate in the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2010 which
has been scheduled to be held on 28 February 2010 (Sunday). Limited
quotas for 10km, Half Marathon and Full Marathon races are still

graduate honoured as Outstanding Young Persons
Mr Zinc Lam (2003 & 2006 / Civil and Structural Engineering) has
been awarded this year's ¡§Ten Outstanding Young Persons¡¨ by the
Junior Chamber International Hong Kong. Zinc has been a member of
the research team of Poly¡¦s Eco-blocks and with the patent he
gained, he started his own company to commercialize the eco-blocks
technology.

Meeting on 16 December (Wednesday). The new Board of Directors will
