Seminar

UBDA poster on 3 Jan 2024

Summary

You are cordially invited to attend a research seminar organized by UBDA. The seminar is designed for researchers who want to gain some research insights and also the experience in using UBDA. Details are as follows:

Speakers: Dr. Tarun Kulshrestha and Dr Vincent Ng

Abstract: Image-to-Image translation (121) is a captivating field that facilitates the transformation of images from one domain to another while retaining vital content representations. This domain has garnered increasing attention in recent years due to its multifaceted applications across computer vision and image processing, encompassing image synthesis, segmentation, style transfer, restoration, and pose estimation. UBDA invites you to delve into 121 during this research seminar. In this seminar, Dr. Tarun and Dr. Vincent will discuss comprehensive journey through the realm of 121, uncovering the underlying techniques. The discussion will extend to the great impact of 121 on both the research and industry sectors while shedding light on the persisting challenges in related fields. Moreover, participants will gain invaluable insights into the practical aspects of training Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) for image-to-image translation tasks.

Bio: Dr. Tarun Kulshrestha and Dr. Vincent Ng are currently working in the UBDA, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
