Welcome to PolyU! To kick start a smooth commencement of your study at the University, please complete the necessary items before deadlines!

PolyU NetID, which is normally identical to your student ID number, serves as the personal identifier of PolyU online systems. You will have to perform important learning activities such as subject registration on eStudent and access to course materials on Blackboard. NetID will give you access to PolyU Online Student Services (POSS) to register all services available to students in this integrated platform.

To access these online systems, you will need to activate your NetID and choose your NetPassword via the activation link sent to your personal email in a separate email titled “Activate Your PolyU Account” 30 minutes after the student registration process. Follow the on-screen instruction to get it done!

You may activate the NetID alternatively through PU Secure Identity Portal. Choose “NetID Registration” then “Student” and follow the on-screen instruction to complete the registration. Student number and personal identification number and PolyU Programme Code are required for verification.

PolyU Connect email is the official communication channel at PolyU that all information concerning your study from academic departments, lecturers, Academic Registry, Library, Student Affairs Office will be disseminated through this channel. Hence, please check your PolyU email inbox regularly not to miss any important information from the university.

You are also advised to install “Outlook” on your smartphone and laptop, then login with your “NetID + @connect.polyu.hk” and “NetPassword”, so that you can read the email on your mobile devices efficiently.

Keeping your personal information updated is of importance to effective communication between you and the university.  You can update your address and mobile phone number in eStudent at all times.

Student identity card is a printed document giveing you access to PolyU campus and campus facilities such as Library and sports facilities during your time at PolyU. It will be issued to you after verifying personal identity documents on the spot.
