SYA Orientation Activity

Congratulations! Welcome to PolyU - the place for your new chapter!

Welcome to PolyU! In an attempt to bring a better learning experience and a speedy immersion into a new environment for our Senior Year Admitted (SYA) freshmen, SYA Project organizes orientation activities particularly for SYA students before the new semester. Students will learn more about General University Requirements (GUR), differences in study mode between community college and university, overseas exchange and the services provided by the university in the talk, and have a great chance to meet SYA students from various departments. SYA student ambassadors will also share their university lives as well as address SYA freshmen’s concerns about U-life and the new environment.

For Academic year 23/24

All orientation session will be conducted in face-to-face mode. Here is the schedule of our seven orientation sessions (with some back-up sessions in case of bad weather or excessive registration):

Notes:

Arrangement after registration

• The SYA Project team will assign the orientation session to you depending on your preferences, student ambassadors’ availability and venue capacity.
• Confirmation email listing your responses in registration form as well as the assigned orientation session will be sent every two weeks.
• A reminder email with on-day details will be sent one day before each orientation session.

Campus Access

Freshmen who have taken their Student ID Card can freely access the campus (or a QR code prepared by AR or themselves or their offer letter if they have not yet received their Student ID Card).
