Business Analytics Adventure: Turning Data into Decisions
Non-credit-bearing
This subject introduces students to the fundamentals of business analytics for data-driven decision making. Through engaging case studies, interactive discussions, and hands-on exercises, students will explore how data is used to solve real business problems. The course includes five face-to-face seminars, providing opportunities for collaboration and practical application of business analytical techniques and tools. By the end of the course, students will understand how business analytics supports effective data-driven decision making.
To equip students with a data-driven mindset and the ability to apply business analytics tools to support effective decision making in business contexts.
Upon completion of the subject, students will be able to:
- Understand basic concepts and principles of business analytics and their relevance to real-world business scenarios.
- Understand the applications of basic business analytics methods and tools to support and justify decision making in business contexts.
- Understand how current technologies such as coding, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing contribute to the success of data analytics implemented in companies
