The Hong Kong Jockey Club invites nomination for the Striding On Scholarship
(This scholarship is managed by an external organization, not by the University. For enquiries, please contact the organization directly.)
The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust established the Scholarships in 1998 with an aim to nurture compassionate and socially-minded leaders for the betterment of Hong Kong. Over the past 27 years, more than 1,200 outstanding young people were supported to pursue their academic and professional aspirations.
In 2023, the Chairman’s Scholarship and the Striding On Scholarship, were introduced to reward outstanding secondary school students in pursuing undergraduate studies in Hong Kong. The Chairman’s Scholarship is awarded to students with exceptional academic achievement, while the Striding On Scholarship recognises local students who have achieved excellence while demonstrating resilience and strength of mind in overcoming adversity or life challenges.
The fourth cohort of these two Scholarships is open for secondary school principals to nominate students in the graduating class from 1 December 2025 to 2 April 2026.
