Upon admission, PolyU will help you apply for a student visa. As it may take at least 8 to 10 weeks for the Immigration Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to process your student visa application*, you are strongly advised to submit it as soon as you have accepted the admission offer and settled the initial fee (i.e. 1st debit note). Click here for further details.

As advised by the Immigration Department, the sponsorship of your visa application is made by PolyU, the visa application fee payable to the Immigration Department should therefore be settled by PolyU directly. Please DO NOT pay any visa application fee to the Immigration Department. You will be asked to settle the visa fee of HK$600 payable to PolyU before obtainment of the approved visa.

You will be informed of the details of visa applications, immigration regulations, health care, cost of living and other non-academic matters of concern to non-local students if you are offered admission to one of our schemes / programmes.
