1. All participants are required to follow the Regulations Governing the Use of Sports Facilities on Campus

2. Participants should be aware of their health condition, and avoid taking the competition when feeling unwell or showing symptoms of infectious diseases like fever, respiratory tract symptoms (e.g. cough, running nose, sore throat), conjunctivitis, skin rashes, skin damage etc.

3. Participants should wear nonmarking sports shoes for competition.

4. Approved basketball provided by the Organizer shall be used in all matches.

5. Unless explicitly stated in prospectus, all rules and regulations will follow those presently adopted by the Hong Kong Basketball Association.

6. The Organizer reserves the right to change the format of competition for each event in consideration of the enrolment situation.

Each departmental team must pay a deposit of $1,000 (2 checks of $500 each, payable to “The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Staff Club”) upon registration.

If the team is absent from the game and fails to notify the organizer in writing 24 hours before the game, a deposit of $500 will be deducted for administrative expenses, and the deducted deposit will not be refunded. If the team is deducted the full $1,000 deposit (that is, absent from two games), it must pay another $1,000 deposit to continue the game, otherwise it will be regarded as a waiver.

Remarks:

1. The rules of International Basketball Association 2022 will be applied.
2. A maximum of 15 players can be registered to a single team.
3. Once registered with one team, a player CANNOT register for another team. A de-registered player CANNOT re-register again.
4. Players must be registered with a team 24 hours prior to the scheduled match time in order to be eligible to play.
5. Any team fielding a non-registered player will automatically be disqualified from the entire competition without the right to appeal. All records will be canceled.

*Each team shall prepare two sets of numbered jerseys in different colours for competition and the numbers indicated on the jerseys should be from 00 to 99 in accordance with the basketball competition rules. The “Home Team” in the competition schedule should wear light-coloured jerseys, and the “Away Team” should wear dark-coloured jerseys. If two teams wear jerseys of the same or similar colour, the team who has violated the colour rules on jerseys should change their jerseys, or wear the numbered vests provided by the Organizer.
