Dr Daphne CHEUNG's project received the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2022: Smart People (Smart Ageing) Silver Award

A project led by Dr Daphne CHEUNG, titled ‘A Stand-alone Therapeutic Music-with-Movement Programme for Elderly with Cognitive Impairment’ received the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2022: Smart People (Smart Ageing) Silver Award. This is the School’s third team awarded the Hong Kong ICT Award.

Members of the research team include: Dr Lily HO, Dr Harry QIN, Mr Robin KWOK. External members: Prof. Ken HO, CUHK; Advisors: Prof. Claudia LAI, Ir Dr Alan LAM (industrial advisor).

The judges commented that: The programme is user-friendly and a good way to assess the participant's responses in the games. It engage people with dementia in music and games to help them improve their emotions, behaviours and cognitive decline.
