With Professor Bob McKercher's generous support, the Prof. Bob McKercher Scholarship has been established. The scholarship will assist students pursuing the Doctor of Hotel and Tourism Management (D.HTM) programme in Hong Kong. It will be awarded to one D.HTM student per academic year for ten years, commencing in the 2020/2021 academic year.
Four SHTM faculty and staff members, including Professor Haiyan Song, Dr Catherine Cheung, Dr Ada Lo and Mr Willie Chan, were honoured by PolyU with Long Service Awards in recognition of their loyal and dedicated service to the institution over the years.
Dr Basak Denizci Guillet and Professor Rob Law successfully obtained a major publicly funded competitive research grant this year.
