The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Hotel and Tourism Management programme is designed to provide graduates with theoretical insights into hotel and tourism management. It prepares them for educational and research positions related to hotel and tourism management.

The Doctor of Hotel and Tourism Management (D.HTM) programme attracts a wide range of professionals who wish to enhance their careers, from experienced practitioners and government representatives to academics. The SHTM has formed a unique alliance with two world-class centres of education excellence - the Lausanne Hotel School in Switzerland and the Conrad N. Hilton College at the University of Houston in the United States - to offer a one-of-a-kind Master of Science in Global Hospitality Business (MGH) programme. Students of this tripartite programme can expect three semesters packed with an unparalleled mix of classes. This programme includes immersion in the cultural and business environments in Asia, Europe and America, a real-life consultancy project and field trips across three continents.

Our MSc in International Hospitality Management (IHM) gives students a strong business foundation for career success. It creates international leaders, educators and researchers for the global hospitality industry. The MSc in International Tourism and Convention Management (ITCM) offers many insights into the tourism and convention industry. It develops dedicated professionals who are educated to lead the industry into its future. Through these unique programmes, students are able to develop best industry practice, management skills and research, taking them from theory to practice and ensuring that they have a competitive advantage in the field. The flexible delivery pattern and modes of study allow the students to complete their studies in one year.

The MSc in International Wine Management (IWM) develops industry leaders, educators and researchers and gives them a deep understanding of the latest trends in the wine business. The course places our graduates in a strong position to become future industry leaders. The IWM is taught by leading academics as well as industry experts, such as Masters of Wine Jeannie Cho Lee, Steve Charters and Debra Meiburg, to ensure its relevance. This programme features residential study trips to renowned wine regions of the world. Students also have the opportunity to learn about mainland Chinese wine consumers and gain insights into some of the fastest-growing wine markets in the world. The programme can be completed in one year.
