Training
Since 2005, ASIIA has been offering in-house training and short courses in intimate apparel to the local and overseas lingerie companies such as MAS Intimates, Bodyline, Triumph, Regina Miracle, Clover, jcpenney, H&M etc. The training courses cover a wide range of practical topics such as fitting, patternmaking, plus sizes bra construction, product development, quality assurance, production and moulding technology. Companies may be interested in the following topics for their staff training, or they may propose their own interested area.
Professional Bra Fitting on Live Model
This course introduces and demonstrates the basic bra fitting criteria and the fundamental knowledge for bra fitting on live model to the participants so that they can understand and perform bra fitting session for product development.
Practical Knowledge on Bra Pattern Cutting and Grading Technique for Plus Sizes
This course enhances the participants’ technical knowledge and ability on bra pattern cutting and grading for the plus sizes.
3-D Pattern Construction of a Push-up Bra and Practical Knowledge on Bra Fitting
This course strengthens the technical skill in pattern modelling and practical knowledge in bra fitting.
Intimate Apparel Moulding Technology
This course provides students with academic and technical knowledge of materials and technologies involved in moulding process for intimate apparel. Students will be able to evaluate technical problems and incorporate the latest technical know-how for the moulding process. It equips students with analytical and critical thinking skills to respond to the changing demands of the industry.
Warp Knitted Fabrics for Intimate Apparel – Types and Properties
This course provides the academic and technical knowledge of warp knitted fabrics for intimate apparel:
- classify different types of warp knitted fabrics
- analyze the characteristics and functional performance of various warp knitted fabrics for intimate apparel
- assess the quality influence of various warp knitted fabrics on the performance of intimate apparel
Management for Intimate Apparel – Production
This course
- provides an understanding of the strategic management concepts during the production process
- expands on concepts and critical issues which are significant to predict and control the risk in production
Management for Intimate Apparel – Quality Assurance
This course
applies the fundamental concepts of quality management towards the diversified and changing market needs in the intimate apparel market
- applies operational and analytical insights into areas of intimate apparel product quality improvement
- provides the essential technical skills to evaluate the performance quality and eliminate the risk for on-time quality
- controls the project performance in quality aspect using management techniques
Management of Intimate Apparel – Product Development
This course
- enhances the knowledge of quality and technical management, and analytical processes used by the production management from product inception.
- analyzes and manages the technical elements to differentiate between good and bad quality, hence to achieve the marketable intimate apparel.
- explores the significant and strategic issues regarding product materials.
- critically analyzes production technical planning at the concept stage in order to disseminate the methodology and terminology used in high level commercial product development.
