Biography
I am delighted to join PolyU Design as an Assistant Professor in Product Design. My work focuses on design entrepreneurship and higher education innovation with particular emphasis on enabling interdisciplinary collaboration and advancing sustainability.
I hold a PhD in Design from Swinburne University of Technology and a Master of Education from Auckland University of Technology, where I was honored with the Dean's Award for Excellence in Postgraduate Study. My research appears in leading journals such as She Ji: The Journal of Design, Economics, and Innovation, and I regularly publish at major international design conferences.
With over 18 years of experience in teaching product design and research, I have developed expertise in problem-based learning, human-centred design, collaborative design, and systemic design approaches. I have successfully led faculty-wide curriculum initiatives, earning a Vice-Chancellor's Commendation for Teaching Excellence. My research explores design entrepreneurship, sustainable design, and culture-based innovation.
As an active member of international design research networks, I serve on editorial and program committees for leading design conferences, contributing to the global advancement of design education and research. I am excited to join the PolyU Design community and look forward to collaborating with colleagues and students.
