Gianna Burgos

Senior Product Designer, Bowtie

Gianna is a results-driven product designer and one of the early designers at Bowtie, Hong Kong's first online insurance platform. Her unique background as a third-culture kid, born in the Philippines and raised in Hong Kong, informs a practice that began in software engineering, providing a rare fluency in both user-centric design and technical implementation. Her hybrid expertise was honed over 4 years at the insurtech pioneer, where her impact extended beyond product features. She worked directly with the CEO to integrate design thinking into the core of the company's organisational culture, expertly balancing operational efficiency with user satisfaction. Now a seasoned professional, Gianna's latest work focuses on building sophisticated AI agentic workflows, exploring how underwriters and artificial intelligence can collaborate. She specialises in leading cross-functional teams to translate ambitious visions into strategically viable and exceptionally crafted user experiences.
