Sanchez博士是一位生物醫學家,在學術界和製藥行業(荷蘭Crucell公司[現為 Janssen Vaccines and Prevention]和瑞典阿斯特捷利康製藥)擁有國際研究經驗。她在墨西哥的ENCB-IPN學院獲得製藥工業化學學士學位,其後取得勒支卓越獎學金,在荷蘭烏勒支大學完成生物醫學碩士學位。她在香港理工大學獲得生物科學博士學位。

Sanchez博士參與各種各樣的研究工作,包括抑鬱症、精神健康、腎病毒疫苗有關的研究項目。她擔任博士後研究員參與了哥特堡大學和瑞典阿斯特捷利康製藥的合作項目研究受體酪氨酸激酶的串擾分子機制,此機制與腎病理相關。她亦曾擔任項目負責人,與瑞士、香港和菲律賓的大學合作,統籌精神健康項目並開發數碼精神健康干預措施。
