LEAP

Learning through Engagement and Apprenticeship in Physiotherapy (LEAP)

LEAP targets first- and second-year students with minimal clinical exposure. This structured job shadowing initiative pairs students with experienced physiotherapists at our Rehabilitation Clinic. Through direct observation of patient care and professional workflows, students have early exposure to gain valuable insight into the realities of physiotherapy practice in which the experience sets a solid foundation for future clinical training and professional competency.
OT ACE 4

Occupational Therapy Apprenticeship and Coaching Education (OT ACE)

The Occupational Therapy Apprenticeship and Coaching Education (OT ACE) programme for the BSc (Hons) OT student would include a supervised observational attachment at the Tam Wing Fan Rehabilitation Service Centre (Occupational Therapy). The primary aim of this attachment is to help students understand the role of an occupational therapist, as well as the ethics and professional manner required when approaching clients.
During the visit, Year 2 students will meet occupational therapists, observe their professional roles and duties, interact with clients (accompanied by parents or carers), and observe commonly used training technologies and aids in the clinic. Through this attachment, students will gain valuable learning experiences and better prepare themselves for their upcoming clinical placements.
SPACE

Standardized Programme for Advancing Clinical Education (SPACE)

SPACE targets senior years students. This immersive program leverages authentic clinical simulations to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application, refine their practical skills and develop critical thinking. Over 270 students have participated, demonstrating marked improvements in self-confidence and workplace readiness. By empowering learners with hands-on experience in simulated clinical environments, SPACE ensures they are better equipped for the dynamic demands of their profession.
