Abstract:
Objectives:
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

 1. Describe generative AI tools commonly used in health professions education 

2. Create learning outcomes that integrate generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) literacy as a supplement to the learning process 
3. Apply strategies to ensure efficiency of learner assessments and their alignment with learning outcomes.

Session description:
In this 1.5-hour interactive session, participants will explore commonly used generative AI tools in health professions education and examine their potential to enhance learner assessments. Attendees will learn how to craft learning outcomes that incorporate GenAI literacy and apply strategies to streamline learner assessments while ensuring alignment with educational goals, both at the course and session level. Through hands-on activities and discussion, the session will equip educators with practical approaches to thoughtfully consider the appropriateness of integrating generative AI into their assessment design.
